Year 4 Music Performance

Over the past 9 months, the Year 4 children have been having music sessions with professional musician Paul Wilcox. In these sessions we have been having lots of fun, but also working really hard at writing our own original song! The children wanted to take the listeners on a journey around the world, showing different cultures and promoting respect. Once it had been written, we practised every day in their classrooms until it was perfect and ready to perform.
On Thursday 15th June, Year 4 went to Walsall Arena where we joined the other 8 primary and secondary schools in the Windsor Academy Trust to perform our songs to the headteachers of the schools and the CEO. It was a long (and very hot) day full of rehearsals and fun! The children behaved impeccably and performed their song fantastically! We were really proud of the courage they showed can't wait to be able to share the video of the performance.
