What a busy start to the year we have had! Take a look at some of the fantastic events that took place in Autumn 1.
What a buzz in year 4 today! Our pupils attended the Unboxing Event for their brand new iPads. We can not wait to see how digital technology engages our pupils in their learning, supports them with their whole class curriculum and unlocks students' academic and personal potential.
120 children from across Windsor Academy Trust's 5 primary schools came together to compete in the WAT Primary Games at Aldersley Stadium in Wolverhampton. Children took part in hockey and tag rugby throughout the morning, before an afternoon of athletics. The sports chosen were inspired by the Commonwealth Games, given the way the Birmingham Games had captured our imaginations earlier in the summer.
For Mental Health Awareness Day we had a live musical performance from singer songwriter Belle. She came in and performed some of her own music and then talked with the children about bullying, online safety and the importance of looking after their mental health. The afternoon ended with a meet and greet where the children asked Belle about her life as a performer. It was wonderful for the children to see what it is possible for them to achieve in their future.
We had so much fun welcoming the parents into Nursery this half term to take part in our Dear Zoo parent session with the help of Dudley Council Services. It was lovely to see so many parents engage with the session and to see how happy their children were to work alongside them.
We received a certificate from the Black Country Food Bank for our Harvest Collection. We donated 63kgs of food and 7.5kgs of non-food. What we have donated will be used towards making emergency food parcels for people in crisis. A massive thank you to everyone who donated and don't forget you can still contribute at anytime.
