Colley Lane has been serving families of the Cradley community for over 100 years. We are proud of our academic, creative and sporting achievements. The children are well behaved and they take pride in and look after, their purpose built school and its grounds.

What’s Happening

Last week, year 6 continued with their Harry Potter themed dance pieces and brought drama into their performances. Based around a wizarding duel, the pupils created freeze frames demonstrating different stages within a duelling battle. Check out the photographs on Class Dojo!

Today we welcomed our LAB members into school for a Maths Focussed visit. They joined in with lessons, spoke to pupils and staff and even learnt some new mathematical vocabulary! It was great to share the enthusiasm the children have for @MathsMastery. @WinAcadTrust

Today reception @colleylane made delicious fruit kebabs influenced by their Whole Class Reading story Oliver's Fruit Salad. Children used lovely manners when asking for different fruits and all children tried and enjoyed a variety of fruits.Well done! @WinAcadTrust #Healthyeating

What a start to the term for our year 6 pupils! We are so proud of them for their resilient attitude towards their SATs revision. Our children also showed respect in celebrating Eid with their peers by creating beautiful Eid cards. Happy Eid to all of our Muslim families.

In Year 3 we have been reflecting on the current situation in Ukraine. We have wrote some positive messages on postcards to show our support and thoughts towards other children who are going through a difficult time right now and are experiencing lots of change and uncertainty.

The Sportshall Athletics team went to Leasowes to compete in the Athletics tournament. A massive congratulations to the team who overall finished 1st. This means we are now going to the Black Country Games to represent Dudley. Well done everyone! @WinAcadTrust

The Wellbeing Warriors are doing so well with their training, we are working through different scenarios that children may come across and how they can support the children. We are also ensuring that they know how to support and look after their own mental health and wellbeing.

This week, Mr Simpson launched the new AI technology Year 6 will be working with to support their SATs studies. Century Tech is a new app that Year 6 will be using to supplement their Reading, Maths and SPAG lessons. It assesses the pupils’ knowledge around a range of topics.

Year 2 have been busy in science this week! The children have started an investigation into what plants need to survive. Different groups had different conditions to plant their seeds in, for example; no water, lots of water, in a cold fridge or in a dark space.
